Product Description
The PRECON ® 20502 in-line deflagration flame arrester in an enclosed pipeline provides protection from confined deflagration. The distance between potential ignition sources and the Flame Arrester location during installation must be within the Lu/D ratio ( pipe length/pipe diameter), for which the device was tested. It is possible to install deflagration flame arrester into horizontal and vertical pipes. The symmetrical deflagration flame arrester provides bidirectional flame transmission protection.

The Flame Arrester comprises two housing components and the PRECON ® flame arrester Element in the center. The PRECON ® flame arrester unit comprises many layers of Flame Arrester element and spacers which are assembled in th housing of arrester (Element).  The size of Flame Arrester and the Explosion Group is considered in the determination of number of Flame Arrester element and Flame Quenching Diameter. It can be used with operating temperature range up to + 60 °C and Operating Pressure range up to 1.1bara. It is Type-approved according to the ATEX Directive and EN ISO 16852 for Explosion group IIB3/IIC.

The PRECON 20502 In-line deflagration flame arresters are also be availed with eccentric housing for draining condensate that is build up in the housing. It's eccentric design enables its installation in pipelines closer to floors/ walls and low points, where there is high possibility of condensate collection within the piping system, and avoid such situation.
